Hi there! I’m Dehrynn! I’ve been kicking around SL for quite a while and I’ve found a few things to be true: Be good to people, and it’ll come back to you; Try to stay positive, because its just better than being a dour gloomy person; Music is wonderful and it doesn’t matter what era it comes from – if its good, its good, for all time. Music enlightens the soul.
I’m from the U.S., in the Midwest, in the Eastern time zone. I try to have fun, joke, and keep the mood light and keep drama to a minimum. And I love DJing- sharing music. I occasionally do impressions/impersonations, to have fun.
I run a club, now more than 16 years, and its been a something I’m so proud of, not just for keeping the place going that long, but for the community we host and the friends we have kept together all these years. Its more a hangout for LGBTQAI+ folks, along with my various friends. And I do what I can to support other similar clubs, like The Twinks Club.
I have been an active DJ in SL for about 17 years now, and I currently do multiple sets a week at various clubs.
Some of my favorite bands are The Eurythymics, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Greta Van Fleet, Foo Fighters, Devo, Maneskin, Iggy Pop, Billy Idol, and so many others. I especially love the songs “The Pretender” and “Walk” by the Foo Fighters, and “Sweet Dreams” by the Eurythmics.
I just love meeting new folks.
I’m an avid reader of Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Mystery, Horror, and Historical Fiction. I try to write some short stories, on occasio. Its really more a minor hobby of mine (Lots of fragmented ideas, but there’s a great novel in me somewhere.. I just need to find it).
I have a wonderful boyfriend, whom I adore.
I’m a bit of a nerd/geek, sometimes (all the time).
I don’t do a lot of social media, as I dislike how little they actually protect your privacy and how poorly they police things and make decisions.
I love making new friends and love chatting and exploring SL and other grids/games. I love playing games and have played a lot of Role-playing games (tabletop) in the past, like DnD, and V:TM.
I have a rich RL family life, as well as spending time with my RL friends when I get the chance. The Holidays are especially busy and distracting. Its crazy but exhausting sometimes! 😀
